This life certainly has its hardships. We are affected by so many pressures that
could easily make us consider various possibilities as why we go through what we
face here in this life. As I was preparing to preach “The Rapid Spreading Of The Gospel”,
my thoughts took me to realize just how unworthy I am and how unprepared in way
to forsake all my lingering and cling closer to my focusing on the areas of importance
that God had been dealing with me . As I had begun studying more into the lives of
those disciples, I began to ask myself just how far into God’s work was I willing to give
of myself. I felt a sense of sadness that would often accompany a cowardice look into
my life. As I prayed, the feeling left and an overwhelming peace came upon me in
such reassurance that Jesus knows our every discomfort and works with our lives
to trust Him in the callings that He places upon us. Remember, He called those who
seemed to be the most unlikely ones to follow Him and learn in such a way as to
compliment the personality type, even in such an anointing that seems completely
opposite of the personality type. God gives the ability, we are to heed the instruction!
We are to seek The Holy Spirits’s guidance through the wise instruction Jesus gave
us in His Word, emptying ourselves of self-effort, and trusting with reliance in the
power of God to make a difference in how we think of situations. Although, we
may fail time and time again, God wants us to realign our thinking to center our
minds upon Him, humbling ourselves to realize that our true worth can only come
by what He gave us by His Word to live a victorious life. First of all, there is a need
to be justified before God, that brings a right standing before Him. This, in turn,
allows a renewal to change one’s nature in order that one can grow and mature
in the grace of God’s favor in a continual way until one leaves this life to even
a greater victory before God in eternity. LaNora G. Means
