Over time people have used short sayings of what seemed popular to bring across whatever point they wanted to make, even if what they stated was inac- curate. The same occurs today in the fact that there are pithy statements that have meaning with existing truth within the words that formulate ideas that can be understood in the situation. They may appear true or false according to context that derives from a source of either factual content or incorrect reasoning with no basis of truth. Within God’s Words in whom the prophets He conveyed them through, there was genuine verity of weighing the difference of what was stated by others in light of what God was speaking through them in the events between truth and error to the fulfilling of His plan both in that present age and that which was to come. It must be clear that God’s Word is revealed in all veracity to full consummation of His complete plan for human- ity; therefore, we must take it seriously and willingly. God’s warning for those in rebellion to repent and change their ways was also marked by His mercy in the span of time that they should resign their will over to His as to the order of conduct alignment to the pleasing of God and not their own ways. So as to His longsuffering in the sureness of His promise, there is also responsiblity to heed His warnings to be favorable in His sight. Looking at His lasting words as sound, God’s impending judgment would occur no matter what was ignored altogether, or what was regarded as a distant future event in the coming of the Savior in Whom our salvation was involved to the saving of soul secured by that work in the promise of Jesus that would allow those in Him to have a better place to dwell that nothing on this earth could truly hold in place. Our life here below should not exhibit that of those who mock the promise of the Lord’s coming, and the following of evil desires railing about the order of time and the delay of God’s judgment; for, it soon will take place (see 2 Peter 3:2-4). There should be a comfort of mind and joy of heart for those who rest securely upon the promise of Jesus of the time that is coming that “…we will be with the Lord forever.” (see 1 Thessalonians 4:17) So, as we dwell on this earth in an earthly dwelling, we must keep in mind that Jesus has prepared for us a dwelling not made with earthy hands but of that which will last forever in His presence.
