What is seen of outward appearance does not always denote inner truth. The adage “looks can be deceiving” certainly fits with some who are misleading in representing deeds or actions that look healthy and thriving; howbeit, the opposite is the case, for in reality spiritual bank- ruptcy is in operation. What really lasts the test of time is the faithful commitment to God by receiving His Word in the stride of meeting His requirements in the honesty and integrity of upholding His ways. He sees every motive with His penetrating eyes that go beyond human recognition. If it were the decision of those to rebel against His warn- ings, there would be consequences applied with repercussions of contamination. The scenes that have been shown in God’s Word depict the total awareness of God’s Spirit as to what pertains to every event in fulfillment according to His grand plan of purpose in every era of time. As the Spirit of God rested upon Jesus in the fullness of His Deity to bring healing and deliverance, so also His rule in Sovereignty secured all rights of power and authority to ascribe all honor to Himself, for He is worthy! The cleansing effect God’s Holy Word has upon one’s life brings healing to the sin sick soul and deliverance from what was once tainted by worldly observance to the bidding of evil pleasure. It is in the precious blood of Jesus that cleansing is found, and one is clothed upon in His goodness that trust in His sustaining power to rest. All prosperity is truly derived from God as the source of our salvation, and His provision is sure in the work of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. The inscription of His love in the scars that He bore is proof enough to understand how much He loves us; for, it is time, for us who rest in this hope, that our faith grows strong till the day He comes to take us home to be with Him forever! All heaven and earth will give Him praise! Watch, “In The Grasp Of Jesus”. LaNora G. Means
