We ought to take serious consideration to the fact that how we view ourselves should not be of a pretentious nature; but instead, we need to take the example of Jesus Christ our Lord in the lowliness of mind while yet standing firm upon the promises He gave us in His Word. We are to understand God’s revealed Word in the person and work of what Jesus did for us in the grace He gave us that we will have the better hope to come. God shows us through general revelation in the work of His hands in nature that He holds all things, and we need to be aware that we are dependent upon Him, for we are very special in His sight. Knowing He holds the world in existence, then that fact brings an awareness that we need to rely upon Him to sustain our lives in His care for eternal life is promised and secured for us who believe and trust in what He gave us in salvation. God has shown in special revelation His Word in the inspiration of the Bible as His infallible Word given that we are to understand Scripture as His written Word to us that we may live according to the Divine grace He gave us and live our lives in the measure of faith that He has bestowed upon us as we are obedient in the love of Jesus. The illumination of His Word in the hearts and lives and in the various ways and times that He revealed Himself is for His purposes and should be acknowledged as such as His control over all. We go through various trials and testings in this life, but in every affliction there is a proper perspective we are to hold in regard to our reaction; because, we will be held accountable before God someday. We should desire to be pleasing in His sight, and take to heart that we are frail and are in need to what He gives through the comfort of The Holy Spirit in our lives bringing to remembrance the sweet words of Jesus etched upon our minds to be gentle, loving, giving, and forgiving in order that we may partake of the blessings He wants to pour out on us now: whether at home or out and about in this life. With a firm grasp of His Word in the knowledge of His grace and mercy that enriches our lives, we should then be able to pass along the good news of what Jesus has done for us in the truth of sincerity to see others come to know the One Who can truly give them the hope they seek after!
