With a further explanation of the views in light of the book of Revelation pertaining to my sermon “God Reveals!”, and looking at how others believe with comparative inform- ation, I must take some time to discuss just how important it is to understand that we are to get the most out of what God wants us to know! First of all, I must say that today as Christians, we still need to encourgage one another in the Lord, for much persecution exists today in varying forms depending on where one is at! Although, persecution certain- ly existed the time that this book was written, we must realize that God’s Word to us today denotes the significance is equally as important in encouragement and not just for that particular time of the Roman Empire. In other words, it is revelant for this present hour, and we must be alert of the time we are living in, for the approaching hour is nearer than ever before, in that the rapture could take place any moment. Then once it happens and the time comes for the establishement of His Kingdom on earth, all of the wicked will have already been dealt with. For, in His Second Coming to earth, the saints will then live and reign with Him forevermore! The book of Revelation harmonizes wonderfully with the book of Daniel, and in Daniel chapter 9, verse twenty-four, “… to seal up the vision and prophecty,…” has a corresponding opposite to Revelation chapter one verse nineteen, “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;”. As we take the time to look deeper into Revelation chapter one verse one, where it states, “. . . to show unto his servants things which must shortly (quickly or swiftly) come to pass;”, we are now to comprehend how that once these events take place, they will take place in a very quick way. So, the reality of both vindication and judgement is certain to happen and it has been unveiled to be written about through what God was showing to the author of the book of Revelation. These are not allegorical representations; but instead, it is reality being unfolded to see the truth. No world system or method will ever make anything better! The church doen’t even save anyone, but Jesus does! For He is alive forevermore! His death, burial, and resurrection gave us our hope for our eternal future with Him! So, the next time you read the book of Revelation, read with an acceptance of what The Holy Spirit does to open up your understand- ing, and that can only be done by accepting the risen and glorified Christ Jesus the Lord!
