It’s amazing how God’s love extended to His people has held blessings in store although unfaithfulness has often been shown in return. Instead of a sincere commitment to His Word, a rationalizing with many excuses would account for many sinful acts that stifle those blessings and hinder the healing He wants to bestow, for obedience is required rather than a rebellious lifestyle. His promises are always real, but there has to be an agreement (that is, understanding of the purpose) with a genuine acceptance to what God offers through Jesus. God has made the way for the freedom from bondage and hurt; but instead of looking to God to do the work, people would often replace God’s way of following the Holy Spirit’s leading with an attention to human endeavor which could offer no true substance of peace needed within one’s life. In receiving the restoration God wants to offer, one must steadfastly believe in the authority of the precious name of Jesus, focusing attention upon God’s grace, repenting of wrongs, accepting His mercy, and leaning on His promises of healing that brings restoration. With the tenderness of care the Holy Spirit bestows, the hurt that was once felt will then seem as nothing. God alone can restore hope and bring peace to one’s heart and life. With every discouragement and heartbreak you may be facing, God wants to bring your thoughts centered toward Him, so that He may give you an abundance of His peace in the blessings of His love that takes you to a place of complete trust in Him in such a reliance that allows your faith to soar. With every tear of sorrow, there can be a smile of hope! Experience of pain can be turned to relief of joy! May our lives be turned inside out, from anguish to peace, from trauma to healing! So with the extension of God’s promises, let us stive to put forth with every effort the lifestyle of obedience in God’s love centered on Jesus; and as His children, we acknowledge the abundance of the nourishment of His Word that helps us grow into a people that shines forth the praise to Him and proclaims the gospel in such a mighty way as to see others’ lives changed and touched by the power of His goodness.
