Wisdom may often be expressed in what one may think of in terms of learning that is accumulated; but, actually, for a Christian, it goes even beyond skills of this life. When a person accepts Jesus, the Holy Spirit is the one Who does the work in the life. Then a whole new way of thinking begins to take place by coming to know the grace of God and His marvelous mercy in the forgiveness of sins. By acknowledging the truth of our redemption through Jesus Christ by the grace of God, we can then begin to grow by staying in His Word. His blessing and favor rests upon our lives when we remain faithful to Him and the wonderful change He does inside of us, for we set aside the old lifestyle and demeanor and live for God in a better quality of lifestyle that distinguishes us by an excellency of conduct and outstanding moral character that is fitting as a believer in Him. So, after the former conduct of a corrupt way of life is set aside, the very healing that takes place in our soul of existence with the presence of His Spirit within shows itself in a manner of action that is pleasing to God. So, as mature Christians, we need to realize that we are to have the understanding to be humble in attitude, gentle in approach, and considerate in behavior; yet, firm in presentation. It is extremely important to keep in mind that God is the ultimate Judge and all wise over all and that He has rule over everything, so we are to be attentive to the fact that He does the final judgement. Knowing this, we are to warn of the result of sin and encourage in matters to turn to what is right and trust God. We must be genuine with such a sincerity that our lives exhibit a wholesome conversation that promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ and not selfish pursuits. Therefore, with such a display of a right standing with God, our conscience will be free of guilt, our peace with others and with God is sure, and we can have the satisfaction of a life well lived. With our lives changed, and that also being our spiritual life healthy, we can rejoice in knowing the outcome. For the very foundation has been laid, and is the basis, our true support that holds us up, Jesus Christ the chief cornerstone. May us be careful how we build in the work that we are doing for His cause! Praise God forevermore! Watch my sermon titled “Believers’ Attitude Of Wisdom” LaNora G. Means Continued
