The essence of our time is crucial, for we never know just when Jesus will
return. It is of utmost necessity for us as Christians to “buy up” our time as
though we are buying a precious commodity, being extremely careful in doing
so as with placing all our trust in the Holy Spirit’s guidance to make the right
decisions. Looking to Jesus in everything that He has done for us, we should
understand that we can take Him by His word, and know that because of His
grace we can spend that time wisely. Living our lives for God’s purposes, by
walking in the light of His love for us, we can certainly be assured that are
hope lies in Him for safe keeping eternally. As our subsistence is so important
to our survival, so it is to acquire understanding in what we possess in Jesus;
because, His precious blood covers all who place trust by believing and
accepting what He did to redeem us. He paid a price that we could never
pay! Looking to Him to have peace in our hearts, we must guard our minds
from straying into the world’s ways, and take caution with our speech and
actions, for we need to portray the attitude that is pleasing to God.
Utilizing wisdom properly is not babbling on of knowledge attained in
a showy fashion to be noticed; but instead, it is putting into practice what
God places inside of our lives to be of benefit for His kingdom to see lives
saved by God’s power in what He did through Jesus. The Holy Spirit gives
the ability for us to live the life we need so that we may use our time with
every opportunity to use the gracious and pleasant words of the love of
Jesus. We need to share the good news of His love in sincerity of our
lives in Him, knowing how our own experience in Him has changed us
from a life of sin into a new and better way of living. We need to also
realize that apart from Him, we would be forever doomed. By continuously
standing firm upon the truth of God’s word to us, and consistently living in
accordance with His promises to us, and staying true to His Spirit within us,
we will experience these results: We will use wisdom the way the Lord intended.
We will take part with excitement of His blessings. We will be filled with the
right Spirit, who gives us peace, joy, and every wonderful virtue that makes
