The realization of what God has done to truly bring one in line with Him, and
having the understanding of salvation in the redeeming blood of Jesus shed for our sins
is a requirement in order to accept the real favor and blessing upon one’s life in what
God intended. For in Christ Jesus and one’s acceptance of what He gave of His life, peace
can be found with an abundance of joy obtained that goes beyond the standards that stem
from the earthly matters. It is therefore something to take notice of in regard to the expres-
sion of heart; that is, that the only boasting done should be to the glory of God in praise to
Him for what He has done in testimony to His goodness! No one can boast of self before
God and be right in estimation! For human standards could never measure up to the
truth and sincerity that would make any sense of value that is lasting in worth or quality
that is deserving of recognition. As I share a personal testimony of my life, I am grateful
of how the Lord has kept my life in His care even through some of the roughest points
in the years of hurt and turmoil that nearly took my life. First of all in complete clarity,
it must be firmly understood that no matter how much knowledge is gained of this
world’s ways, the areas in study must be set in line to acknowledge that God has the
ultimate say on one’s life in the what, when, where, how, and why’s. He does His work
upon one’s mind and heart in ways beyond human reasoning skill; because, it is by His
Spirit that He gives the greatest blessing to lean upon Him for direction. So taking a close
look at Proverbs 3:5-6, you will notice that it most certainly takes a wholehearted con-
fidence in the depth of faith with a full reliance on God’s love that saturates our very
being. We are not to try to figure out everything on our own; but as we learn with an
obedient heart, we are to stay sensitive to the Spirit of God and His moving upon our
lives to allow His work to advance in order to bring others to the knowledge of what He
gave through His Word. We are to cling to Him all the while in the agreement of how
He sets everything straight and smooths out all the rough edges of our lives. With
much prayer, seeking God to do the work in us, He can shape our lives to His choosing,
not others wishes, or even our own, except what God lays upon us individually by His
Holy Spirit working within. We will all give an account before God one of these days, so
be aware that we live our lives for Him. It isn’t the power and influence of the earthly
life that transforms the soul. God chooses whomever He wills to do whatever He
wants! Please take the time and watch “Turn Your Life Over To God!” LaNora G. Means
