Just what are we willing to go through for the cause of Jesus Christ? The iden-
tification of a true follower in the way of Jesus must needs be tested in the light
of example of His love; however, it is not a cowardice demeanor that folds or
crumbles under pressure. The peace we are to have with God depends upon
our right standing in relationship that is to be rooted and grounded in the sin-
cere acceptance in what Jesus did for us on the cross. Anything apart from what
God purposed to bring salvation would be self effort that could never bring a
lasting result to deliver us from the influence of the evil one who desires to rob
us of the very life that God desires us to attain. But as concerning a misconcep-
tion of a perfectly comfortable life, one must be aware of the fact that taking a
strong stand in faithfulness to the gospel of Jesus Christ involves a cost of com-
mitment that many are not willing to undertake. Differences of opinion, as well
as belief, often divides families apart so sharply that associations are in some
cases severed. A high dedication level to the work of the Lord even drives apart
the closest of family members with a differing opinion of importance in regard
to the amount of time and resources used. Some are even totally rejected as
a result of their conversion to Christianity, and others’ lives even taken; so, it is
important for us not to take for granted our freedom in Christ Jesus our Lord!
In times past of the lack of trust, so it is today! Betrayal of loyalty in devotion
to the Lord, as well as the deception and distrust toward each other runs
rampant in society. Reverence to God and respect toward others has waned.
Although the conditions of this life’s pressures mount, we must keep in mind
what Jesus endured that our redemption is secured by trusting in His atoning
blood that He shed for us. The life of a believer in Jesus Christ must be one
of daily commitment in both word and action. We should carry the responsi-
bility with a passion that reflects the Holy Spirit in our lives! The testimony of
our lives should be firm in the trust toward God in the expectation of His
blessings poured out in the glory of His goodness some day much greater
than any earthly wealth could ever benefit us in this feeble life we live here
